Twitch star Asmongold used his short April 2026 suspension from the platform to tackle a problem he had been ignoring for months: teeth so rotten he could taste the decay every time he bit down.
The 36-year-old streamer, whose real name is Zack Hoyt, dropped the news himself on his return stream after an early unban. He told viewers he spent $7,000 on major dental work and expects to spend more.
“So for the past three months, the teeth that I had were rotten. And every time I would bite down I would taste a little bit of rot and this has been going on for 3 months… Ew tasty,”
he said on stream.
He added that he used to hide bad breath during broadcasts by biting his finger. Now, with the new work done, everyday food tastes different. “Chipotle tastes much better now,” he noted, calling the replacements his “fake” teeth.

Asmongold has spoken candidly for many years regarding his severe dental problems associated with excessive soda intake, previous neglect, and infection. Asmongold has talked about having to undergo a root canal and tooth extraction, and even joked at one point that he only had a single digit remaining in terms of teeth still in his mouth.

The suspension was expected to last seven days but ended early. He used the unexpected downtime for the dental work and took a couple of extra recovery days before returning.
