Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the age of Apple streaming with Apple TV+.
Today was the tech giants immanent introduction in the entertainment industry. It previewed a roster of original content where Apple CEO Tim Cook called it the “greatest collection of accomplished, creative visionaries who have ever come into one place.” But, what is it exactly? Just another service? No. An original based content platform with the most creative minds of our time. And who is endorsing this re-imaginative take on streaming? None other than Steven Spielberg, J.J. Abrams, Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, and Steve Carell.
Specifically, Speilberg previewed his very own series, “Amazing Stories” while Aniston, Witherspoon, and Carell previewed their very own show dubbed ‘The Morning Show.”
And it didn’t stop there. Apple TV+ will also highlight provocative stories like “Little America,” which depicts the immigrant experience in America. Kumail Nanjiani, the series creator hopes that “Little America” will help viewers understand no such thing as ‘the other.’ In fact, there’s only us and we are excited to tell these stories with Apple.”
In the music space, J.J. Abrams and Sara Bareilles are looking to inspire artists with “Little Voice,” a story about a “promising, flawed” musician living in New York. Meanwhile, Oprah Winfrey will make her grand return to television with documentary projects and a book club.
As such, the March event 2019 kicked off with announcements regarding Apple News+ and the introduction of what is known as an Apple Card. Yet, the company has also announced it was recruiting game developers for its new venture in the gaming world via Apple Arcade. However, there is still no pricing for any of the products or services.
