Albert Pujols is getting acknowledged for the amount of games he’s played. And, if you didn’t know that is 2,934 games. This is huge for a dominican-born player as no one from that origin has played as many games. In fact, Pujols has even passed Adian Beltre in that feat.
Born Jose Alberto Pujols, the player originated from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Then, luckily he managed to get drafted in 1999 with the St. Louis Cardinals in the 13th Round. Nicknamed la maquina, Pujols had a productive time with St. Louis Cardinals.

Although, Albert Pujols is no stranger to accalades. The Dominican superstar is the fifth major league player with the most homeruns. Baseball star, Pujols totals 667 career homeruns. Pujols is also 13th in history for most hits, tallying up 3,253 hits in the game of baseball. Currently, Pujols is the oldest active player in major league baseball.
As a Dodger, Pujols hit a career-high 3,284 hits. Thus, breaking the tie with Willie Mays and move into sole possession of 11th place on the all-time MLB hits list. Fortunately, it was not the only milestone for the future Hall of Famer just became the fourth player in MLB history with at least 6,000 total bases.

Pujols is no stranger to awards either. With the Cardinals, he won the NL Most Valuable Player three times in 2005, 2008, and 2009. He also received the MLBPAA Heart and Hustle Award in 2009. During that same year, he also won the Lou Gehrig Award. In 2015, he was an All-Star with the Los Angeles Angels and was designated as player of the week and month.
