A$AP Rocky isn’t ruling out a physical showdown with Drake.
In a newly released teaser for his upcoming conversation with Jason Lee, the Harlem rapper is asked if he’d ever step into the ring with the Toronto star. His reply is direct: “Bare knuckles like the Irish.”
The roughly one-minute clip, shared by BET on Monday (Aug. 3), begins with Lee asking Rocky whether he watched a recent celebrity boxing match. After Rocky confirms he did, Lee follows up with the Drake question. The full episode of The Jason Lee Show is set to premiere Wednesday (Aug. 5) at 8 a.m. ET on BET’s YouTube channel.
Rocky and Drake’s relationship has been strained for years. The two once collaborated — most notably on Rocky’s 2012 hit “F—kin’ Problems” — but the vibe shifted after Rocky began dating Rihanna around 2020. Rocky has previously said things cooled once their relationship went public, with subliminal shots and tension following.
Drake took early aim on tracks like “Fear of Heights” from 2023’s For All the Dogs. Rocky eventually responded on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Show of Hands” in 2024 and more pointedly on his own 2026 album Don’t Be Dumb, particularly the cut “Stole Ya Flow.” Drake continued the exchange on his Iceman project, with “Burning Bridges” drawing attention for lines many interpreted as directed at both Rocky and Rihanna.

In past interviews, Rocky has downplayed the feud as something short of “real smoke,” while still making clear the two are no longer cool and criticizing certain approaches as soft for involving Rihanna.
Rocky recently wrapped North American dates in support of Don’t Be Dumb and is heading into a European run. Both artists have had strong commercial years, each scoring No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 in 2026.
The teaser has already sparked conversation online about whether the long-running tension could move beyond records. The full Jason Lee interview is expected to dig deeper into the Drake situation, along with Rocky’s relationship with Rihanna, A$AP Mob dynamics, fatherhood and more.
