A Man Points Handgun at a Newlywed Couple During Wedding Reception

A wedding reception at a Florida farm devolved into a terrifying scuffle when the venue’s owner waved a gun at guests. Cell phone video shows Miguel Rodriguez-Albisu, 58, of Southwest Ranches, waving his weapon and yelling at people.

A DJ and bride’s cousin shared the footage on social media. He said the man started waving his weapon during a fight about music.

Video shows man pointing gun at couple at wedding reception

In this video posted by DJ Jonathan Campo, a cousin of the bride, an enraged man points a gun at terrified guests at a wedding reception in Southwest Ranches, Florida. A row over the music sparked the tumult, Campo told WPLG.

During the last song of the night, a man at the Silo Farms event venue in Davie, Florida, ordered the DJ to turn down the music because of noise complaints from neighbors, according to Campo. Then, Campo said, one of the employees spilled a drink on his equipment even though he had turned the music down.

After the DJ tried to calm the situation, Rodriguez (in yellow shirt) showed up and started waving the gun around and yelling at guests. He then pointed the weapon at people who were recording the incident, Campo says.

He then smacked the cellphone out of the hands of one of the women who was recording the scene, Campo says. The woman later had a concussion and internal bleeding, according to the video.

The incident was caught on camera by a guest and eventually lead to two men facing charges, according to police reports. Miguel Rodriguez-Albisu, 58, of Southwest Ranches and Christian Sergio Rafart, 31, of Davie were arrested on Thursday.

Rodriguez faces nine counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was also charged with a battery charge, resisting arrest and violating probation.

The incident left Campo traumatized. He had to go back to the scene and speak with his cousin, who is the DJ. The DJ described what happened as a “disgusting” moment. He recalled that a man named Raffert reached for the DJ equipment and then pushed him away.

Police arrest man

When a couple gets married they often hope to have an idyllic, stress-free wedding reception. But sometimes that dream turns into a nightmare. One such story occurred last Thursday at a Florida wedding reception. A man pointed a handgun at a newlywed couple and threatened them with it before ordering guests to leave.

The incident happened at Cielo Farms in Southwest Ranches, Fla., and the owner of the venue, Miguel Rodriguez, was arrested. He was accused of threatening the newlyweds and their guests with his gun after an argument over music.

A video of the incident was posted by Jonathan Campo, who was DJing for the bride and her cousin. The footage showed the irate owner pointing his weapon at terrified guests. The irate man was shouting, “Get out!”

According to Campo, the owner of the venue and the husband of one of the bride’s friends got into a dispute over the wedding music. The DJ said he tried to turn the music off and spilled a drink on his equipment before the owner of the venue arrived and yelled at him to stop playing the music.

Beware ofFlorida Man!

Eventually, Campo pushed the gun-wielding man away and tried to calm him down. The video shows the man in yellow shirt yelling at people to get out of the venue.

In a chilling sequence, the DJ says the man points his gun at him and the other guest, saying, “I will kill you, I will kill you!” Then he waves the gun around to the crowd. During the video, people start screaming and running from the scene.

Police arrested the man who was armed with the gun at the wedding reception, and he was charged with battery, resisting arrest and violation of probation charges. The owner of the venue was also arrested for threatening wedding attendees.

The officer who fired the shots was Michael Hubbard. He was working off duty at the time and didn’t have a Taser assigned to him. Luckily, Jason Reinhard and Janzen witnessed the confrontation and recorded the whole event on their cell phones. They later provided the police with the cell phone videos. The cops then used those videos to charge the man, who hasn’t been identified yet.
