Dejontay Wings, the social media comedian known online as Wingstoofunny, has been arrested by the Baton Rouge Police Department in connection with the alleged burglary of his former workplace, according to local authorities and news reports.
The 27-year-old influencer, who has built a following of approximately 296,000 on Instagram, was taken into custody on Saturday, June 6, 2026, and charged with simple burglary and criminal damage to property. He was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish custody.
According to a police warrant obtained by WBRZ News, the incident took place on December 2, 2025, around 10:50 p.m., at a Take 5 Oil Change location on Airline Highway in Baton Rouge. Wings had reportedly been fired from the business approximately two weeks prior. Authorities allege he smashed a window in the garage area to gain entry, accessed the office and stole roughly $200 in cash from a safe.
The business’s security camera malfunctioned during the break-in and did not capture a clear image of the suspect’s face. However, the shop manager was able to identify Wings from the footage based on his “distinctive walk,” per police reports.
Wings, who has ties to Baton Rouge’s local content creator scene—including past associations with FunnyMike’s crew—rose to prominence through comedic videos and skits shared on social media.
