British influencer and former X Factor contestant Gabrielle Carrington, known online as RielleUK, was arrested early Sunday morning after her car allegedly plowed into a group of pedestrians on Argyll Street in central London, following a physical altercation outside a nightclub.
Carrington, 29, faces suspicion of attempted murder, grievous bodily harm (GBH), dangerous driving and drink-driving in connection with the incident, which took place around 4:30 a.m. on April 19. She remains in Metropolitan Police custody as the investigation continues.
The crash occurred on the busy stretch of Argyll Street in the Soho/Mayfair area, near Oxford Street and venues including the Inca nightclub. According to reports and circulating video footage, the incident stemmed from a heated physical fight between Carrington and fellow influencer Klaudia Zakrzewska, known as Klaudia Glam.
The argument, which bystanders attempted to break up, is said to have escalated over a personal matter possibly involving a man. Shaky handheld videos from the scene show a black Mercedes — similar to one Carrington has posted on her Instagram — driving into the group on the pavement, with bystanders reacting in panic and shouting warnings.
Three pedestrians were struck:
- Klaudia Glam, a Polish-born Instagram and TikTok model and influencer with hundreds of thousands of followers, was knocked down and trapped under the vehicle. She was hospitalized in critical condition.
- A man in his 50s, reportedly a bystander near an e-scooter, sustained life-changing injuries.
- A woman in her 30s suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed the collision is not being treated as terror-related. Detectives are appealing for witnesses and any additional video or information regarding the events leading up to the incident.
A senior officer stated that the force’s thoughts are with the injured parties and their families, urging anyone with relevant details to come forward.
Carrington rose to prominence as a teenager in 2013 when she reached the X Factor finals as part of the girl group Miss Dynamix. She has since built a substantial online following — around 362,000 on Instagram — sharing glamorous lifestyle, music and fashion content. Klaudia Glam is known for fashion collaborations, including work with brands like Fashion Nova, as well as TV appearances.
Graphic videos of the scuffle and alleged collision, including split-screen posts contrasting a polished portrait of Carrington in a brown lace dress with raw nighttime footage of the chaos, have spread rapidly across social media.
As of Monday afternoon, no further charges have been announced, and the investigation remains ongoing. Police are continuing to review available evidence, including footage from the scene.
