YSL Mondo Accuses Young Thug: Did He Tell on Peewee Roscoe?

YSL Mondo’s scathing accusations against Young Thug have rocked the hip-hop community, stirring up heated debates about loyalty and betrayal. In a fiery Instagram Live session, YSL co-founder Fremondo Crenshaw, known as YSL Mondo, accused Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, of committing “the unthinkable” by allegedly naming Peewee Roscoe in a 2015 police interrogation tied to the shooting of Lil Wayne’s tour bus. Mondo also slammed YSL associate Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, aka Peewee Roscoe, for defending Thug, claiming Roscoe is “brainwashed” for standing by someone who allegedly implicated him. Mondo didn’t hold back, expressing his frustration with Thug’s behavior after his release from the YSL RICO case in October 2024.

“You probably been thankful that you just beat a life sentence in a RICO and came home and mind your business and being humble,”

Mondo said.

“But instead you still come not pushing the rat narrative, bro.”

He referenced a resurfaced interrogation audio, nearly two years old, that allegedly captures Thug mentioning Roscoe in connection to the 2015 Lil Wayne tour bus shooting. Mondo argued this contradicts the loyalty expected in their circle, especially given Young Thug’s past criticism of others, like Gunna, for allegedly cooperating with authorities.

“He brainwashed people,”

Mondo added, pointing to Thug’s influence over his associates.

“Y’all come on my brother, Roscoe, you the worst twin. You’re worse than the rat itself.”

Turning to Roscoe, who served 10 years for the tour bus shooting before his conviction was overturned in 2018, Mondo expressed disbelief at his defense of Young Thug.

“Roscoe, you did 10 years behind me, brother,”

He said.

“And you just come on the internet and say a nigga didn’t tell on you.”

In his own Instagram Live, Roscoe stood firm, insisting Thug “kept it silent” and was “clean as Listerine, man. Clean as ivory soap, ya feel me?” He dismissed snitching rumors and even accused Gunna, YSL Duke, and Ralo of being the “real rats,” claiming Gunna paid blogs to push a narrative against Thug.

The accusations are tied to the YSL RICO case, which began in May 2022 when Thug and 27 others were indicted under Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

Prosecutors alleged YSL, or Young Slime Life, doubled as a criminal street gang linked to the Bloods, while the defense insisted it was just a music label, Young Stoner Life. Young Thug was released on October 31, 2024, after a plea deal, receiving time served and 15 years of probation in Georgia’s longest criminal trial. Mondo, a co-founder of YSL alongside Thug and Trontavious Stephens, was not charged but faced separate legal issues in July 2023 for drug, gun, and gang-related charges.

Thug responded to the snitching allegations against X, denying the claims and asserting that the interrogation audio showed his loyalty.

“They didn’t play my interrogation video in court cause I helped my brada #Ratwhere?”

He wrote on August 27, 2025. Fans are divided, with some backing Thug’s loyalty, one X user stating,

“Your loyalty was never in question,”

while others criticized him, noting,

“Not mad at the video, mad at the fact you disowned Gunna over the same situation.”

The controversy has reignited tensions from Thug’s feud with Gunna, who took an Alford plea in December 2022 and faced similar snitching accusations, which he denied. Mondo’s broader critique touched on dependency within YSL, accusing members of waiting for Young Thug to “put them on” while struggling.

“Y’all can’t even call buddy phone right now and say, ‘Hey bro, my kids are hungry,’”

He said, highlighting the disconnect. His remarks underscore the fragile dynamics of trust and loyalty in hip-hop, amplified by social media and the YSL RICO fallout, leaving fans and artists grappling with questions of betrayal and redemption.
