Skilla Baby Shot in Head and Leg While Filming Detroit Video — Survives Brutal Attack

A chilling act of violence shook Detroit’s rap scene last night when Skilla Baby, the rising star whose real name is Trevon Gardner, was ambushed in a drive-by shooting, leaving fans reeling and praying for his recovery.

Detroit rapper Skilla Baby reportedly escaped unharmed after his vehicle was struck by approximately 25 rounds of gunfire in what authorities are describing as a targeted attempt on his life. Police have investigated the incident, which they believe was a deliberate act aimed at the rising hip-hop artist.

The shocking incident occurred at about 8:30 PM near Eight Mile Road and Beech Daly, a notorious stretch in the cultural terrain of Detroit. Skilla Baby was driving his black Chevrolet Tahoe while allegedly working on a music video when the other vehicle stopped and sprayed bullets in his direction. The rapper got hit by the bullets and swerved his SUV into a brick building parked alongside the road. Videos being shared online depict the car with bullet holes all over it, a stark reflection of the ferocity of the attack.

Skilla Baby received graze wounds to his back and head and a direct gunshot to the hand. An initial report indicated a leg injury also occurred, although more about this has yet to come to light. Fortunately, he did not have anyone else in the car with him and no bystanders were injured.

Redford Township Police are treating the shooting as a targeted assault, yet no suspects have yet appeared and the reason why is yet to emerge. While rumors from fans have speculated otherwise, no conclusive evidence exists implicating the shooting in any particular rivalry or disagreement in the rapper’s life.
