In the last few years, the rap community has witnessed heinous rap stars’ deaths. What’s more disturbing, these murders have even targeted the families of rap stars. Recently, Young Thug’s baby mama Lakevia Jackson faced a harsh reality at one of the most unlikely places, a bowling alley. Even worse, the 31-year-old suffered at the hands of her murder over something as trivial as a bowling ball.
Lakevia Jackson’s Death
Nowadays, the simplest things can set people off. Even a fight over a ball at a bowling Alley can lead to a murder. Late Thursday night, Atlanta police were called to Metro Fun Center after a verbal spat escalated between Lakevia Jackson and her killer. According to TMZ, by the time police arrived they found Young Thug’s baby mama dead, having suffered several gunshot wounds.
Prior to Jackson’s death, her mother spoke with The Sun to detail the unfortunate murder. “I didn’t know that’d be the last time I talked to my baby,” Sherina Jackson told the publication. Adding more details to the case, the mother said, “I could hear her over the phone crying and screaming. Then her best friend said she’s not breathing! . . . I lost my baby all over a bowling ball.”
In her concluding remarks, Jackson’s mother described her daughter as a positive person.
Furthermore, a spokesperson for Young Thug told a WPLG reporter that the rapper isn’t available for comment at this time. Currently, he’s grieving with his family.
The Atlanta Police Department Might Have A Suspect
While Young Thug and his family grieves over their tragic loss, the Atlanta Police Department has doubled their efforts in finding the killer. No suspects have been arrested, but officials believe they’re close in finding Lakevia Jackson’s killer. Furthermore, the police have gathered tons of evidence from surveillance videos and cooperating witnesses. In fact, Homicide Commander Lt. Ralph Woolfolk sent out this following message to the murder, “We know who you are so go ahead and turn yourself in.”
In any case, Lakevia Jackson’s killer will face justice swiftly.
