Wu-Tang Clan kicked off their farewell tour, Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber, that will enthrall fans in 27 North American cities from June 6-July 18, 2025. Commemorating more than three decades, the historic tour is in celebration of the group’s trailblazing music and collective legacy, allowing fans their final chance at the group’s high-energy live experience. Special guest performers Run the Jewels and all surviving original members will perform, as the tour brings an unforgettable mix of old-school hits, deep tracks, and new stage production.
Established in Staten Island, New York, in 1992, Wu-Tang Clan revolutionized hip-hop in 1993 through the release of the group album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). Praised for its tough lyrics and groundbreaking production, the album stands widely accepted as among the best in the history of hip-hop. Wu-Tang Forever, their 1997 follow-up, charted at the top in the Billboard 200 chart and became quadruple-platinum certified. With worldwide sales totaling in the neighborhood of 40 million, Wu-Tang revolutionized East Coast hip-hop, adding images of martial arts combined with street narratives.
The original lineup for the group consists of RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and Ol’ Dirty Bastard, deceased in 2004. Subsequent to his death, the group embraced Cappadonna as an official member. For the tour, the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s son, Young Dirty Bastard, is part of the act, paying homage to his late dad and bringing an emotional touch to the farewell.
The Final Chamber tour comes to top markets like Baltimore (June 6, at CFG Bank Arena), Los Angeles (June 22, at Crypto.com Arena), Chicago (July 7, at United Center), New York (July 16, at Madison Square Garden), and Philadelphia (July 18, at Wells Fargo Center). Expect an anything-can-happen setlist featuring 36 Chambers and Wu-Tang Forever favorites, deep album cuts, and brand new live tracks. The new stage production, created in partnership with the Wu-Tang leader and his crew, promises an otherworldly visual experience.
Run the Jewels, the acclaimed hip-hop duo of Killer Mike and El-P, will open for most shows, bringing their high-energy performances to complement Wu-Tang’s legacy. Tickets went on sale February 28, 2025, and are available through Ticketmaster.
RZA, the group’s founder and producer, shared the emotional weight of this moment:
“This is a special moment for me and all my Wu brothers to run around the globe together one more time and spread the Wu swag, music, and culture. Most importantly, to touch our fans and those who have supported us throughout the years.”
He also teased the tour’s uniqueness, stating,
“Me and our production team have designed a Wu-Tang show unlike anything you’ve ever seen”.
In 2025, Wu-Tang Clan released Black Samson, the Bastard Swordsman, an album in collaboration with the producer Mathematics, based on Blaxploitation films. Recorded with all nine surviving members, as well as special guest appearances from Kool G Rap and Benny the Butcher, it was initially released on limited-edition vinyl in 5,000 quantities for Record Store Day, each with its own special cover art. It is now out on Spotify and other streaming platforms, reflecting the group’s timeless creativity.
Wu-Tang Clan’s reach goes far beyond music, influencing fashion, film, and business. Their association with contemporary artists such as Run the Jewels underlines their appeal that crosses generations, from classic hip-hop through recent times. Although the tour is promoted as their last, fans anticipate other works, as RZA has teased ongoing works such as documentaries and shows. Nonetheless, he has underscored it as their final major concert tour, generating debate on websites such as Reddit about the group’s future.
The Final Chamber is a milestone in hip-hop history. For die-hard fans, it is an experience to revisit the gritty intensity of 36 Chambers and the majesty of Wu-Tang Forever. For new fans, it is an experience to see an immortal group that remade an art form.
