After requesting for people to send him beats, J. Cole has delivered an impeccable display of intense, hard-thought out bars: straight bars. The freestyle reminded me of some of his older work, such as Friday Night Lights or Warm Up. The freestyle, according to the rapper, is just a preview of what is to come on his future project titled The Off Season.

This is my favorite type of rap. Cole’s thought-provoking lyrics — combined with his tremendous voice — makes “Album Of The Year” a must-listen-to. Here’s a line that I thought was straight FIRE.
