Vin Diesel Calls Paul Walker’s Daughter Meadow ‘A True Cousin’ to His Kids

Vin Diesel just made it crystal clear how deep his bond runs with Paul Walker’s daughter Meadow. At the Fast & Furious 25th anniversary screening in Los Angeles on August 17, the actor looked straight into the cameras and called her family in the purest sense.

“She’s the first one to ever call me on Father’s Day. She’s the first one to show up to all the kids’ birthdays,” Diesel told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet at the Westwood Village Theater. “She’s just such a blessing and I’m so grateful to have her in my family’s life. She’s a true cousin to my angels… and I would die for her.”

The words landed heavy. Diesel has three children with longtime partner Paloma Jiménez — Hania, 18, Vincent, 16, and Pauline, 11. Pauline carries Paul Walker’s name as a living tribute. Meadow, now 27, moves through that household like she belongs there. Holidays, birthdays, the quiet everyday stuff. Diesel’s kids light up when she walks in the door, and she never misses the moments that matter.

Her presence at the anniversary event carried extra weight. Diesel admitted he wasn’t sure he could have faced the same red carpet he once shared with Walker, the man he still calls Pablo, without her standing beside him. “It means everything,” he said. “Because I don’t know if I could have come to the red carpet. Meadow adds a grace.”

Paul Walker died in a car crash on November 30, 2013, at age 40. Meadow was 15. Diesel, already her godfather, stepped up without fanfare. In October 2021 he walked her down the aisle when she married Louis Thornton-Allan in an intimate beach ceremony in the Dominican Republic. The marriage ended in 2024, but the family connection never did.

Meadow has built her own path since then. She works as a model, has walked for houses like Givenchy and Balenciaga, and made a quiet cameo in Fast X. She also runs the Paul Walker Foundation, focused on the ocean work her father cared about. Through it all she has stayed close to the Fast family — Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, and especially Diesel’s crew.

The Fast & Furious franchise has always centered on the idea that family is defined by loyalty rather than blood. Diesel’s latest remarks underscore how that theme has played out in real life more than a decade after Walker’s death. For Diesel, Meadow is not simply the daughter of a lost friend — she is family.
