Tyler, the Creator Drops $500,000 on Diamond Chain

Tyler, the Creator marked the launch of his latest album, Call Me If You Get Lost, with the purchase of a flashy new chain.

TMZ has come through with a new report detailing the work that went into Tyler’s recently unveiled new chain. The total cost for the chain and pendant, per the report, was an estimated $500,000.

In total, the jewelry features over 186 carats of diamonds, 60 carats of sapphire, and over 23,000 individually placed stones.

Alex Moss, the creative jeweler responsible for this piece, recently gave fans a closer look at his work on Instagram. In the comments of Moss’ post, Tyler noted that the piece—which was seen last week on the BET Awards red carpet and was met with some fans connecting the bellhop imagery to a previous Grammys fit from Tyler— took “months” to complete.

The Grammy-winning rapper has a lot to celebrate. Tyler, the Creator’s album Call Me If You Get Lost, with appearances from Lil Wayne, Pharrell, and Lil Uzi Vert, is projected to top the Billboard 200 chart next week, selling 185,000 equivalent album units. This is his biggest sales week to date.
