The video, available through White House archives, shows Trump responding to Fox News reporter Peter Doocy’s question about the bizarre social media storm that garnered over 1.3 million engagements on X.
The rumors took off after Trump, known for his frequent public appearances, was not seen publicly from August 27 to August 31, following a cabinet meeting on August 26. Social media platforms buzzed with hashtags like #TrumpIsDead, fueled by speculation about his health, including visible bruising on his hand and a July 2025 diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition causing leg swelling.
