Suspect in Sauce Walka Affiliate Sayso P’s Murder Found Dead in Houston

One of the murder suspects of Memphis rapper Sayso P, a close associate of Houston native Sauce Walka, has been found dead in Houston. The development is surprising for a crime that has shocked the hip-hop world, with the public and artists stunned by grief and unanswered questions.

The story began on March 22, 2025, outside the Downtown Memphis Westin Hotel. Sayso P, whose real name was Latorian Hunt, was shot down in a brazen daytime attack. Sauce Walka, whose real name was Albert Walker Mondane, was also involved, being shot in the leg. The incident, which was on surveillance camera, involved the assailants, who had emerged from a white Dodge Charger, approached the rappers, fired shots, and then fled the scene. The Memphis Police Department (MPD) had characterized the incident as a targeted hit, with the public speculating on what could possibly have driven such a violent act.

Within a few short days, on the 26th of March, 2025, the MPD named 21-year-old Jayden Dandridge a prime suspect. He was accused of serious crimes, including first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, the discharge of a firearm during a felony, and theft of a car. But before the police could take Dandridge into custody, on the 31st of March, 2025, reports surfaced of Dandridge being discovered dead in Houston. The cause of his death is still unknown.

Meanwhile, a second suspect, 22-year-old Kevin Brown, is still on the loose, wanted on the same charges as the investigation is ongoing. Sayso P, 27, was a star on the rise from Memphis, signed with Sauce Walka’s The Sauce Factory (TSF) record label. His raw talent and bright future had endeared him to rap enthusiasts, and his untimely demise has left a void in the rap world. Sauce Walka, a popular figure from the hip-hop world of Houston, had taken Sayso P under his wings, and the loss is personal. The two shared a bond that went beyond music, which only added to this tragedy’s emotional blow.

In the wake of the shooting, Sauce Walka opened up about his pain and perspective. In an interview with Wikid Films, he admitted that while he has the means and support to seek revenge, he’s chosen a different path.

“I can’t retaliate because that’s not righteous,”

He made a statement that struck a chord with many who saw him wrestling with the cycle of violence that often plagues the industry. His words offer a rare glimpse of restraint in a world where retaliation is all too common.

Adding another layer to the story, Sayso P’s mother, Toya Redwing, has come forward to defend her son’s name. In a heartfelt Facebook post, she pushed back against rumors that Sayso P had stolen money or was involved in shady dealings, which some had suggested as a motive.

“My son never stole anything. Never ran off with anything. Haters set him up but not because he stole a dime,”

she wrote. Her emotional rebuttal has sparked conversations online, with supporters echoing her belief that Sayso P was targeted unjustly.

The chilling surveillance footage from that fateful day has circulated widely, offering a stark look at the attack. It shows the suspects moving with purpose, unloading a hail of bullets on Sayso P and Sauce Walka before making their escape. The video’s release has kept the incident fresh in the public’s mind, fueling both outrage and curiosity about what really happened.

As word of Dandridge’s death spreads, several underground hip-hop pages on X and other social media platforms have lit up with posts and discussions. Fans, bloggers, and insiders are piecing together the story, speculating about what his death means for the case and what might come next.
