YouTuber SteveWillDoIt is opening up about a courtside date that went unexpectedly sideways.
On Friday, Nov. 21, the content creator — whose real name is Stephen Deleonardis — shared on his Instagram Stories that he experienced a sudden allergic reaction while attending the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Utah Jazz game on Tuesday, Nov. 19, with social media influencer Corinna Kopf at Crypto.com Arena.
According to Deleonardis, the reaction left his face visibly swollen and bright red during the game. He posted photos showing him holding a compress to his cheek while seated courtside.
But the allergic flare-up wasn’t the only thing that left him feeling uncomfortable.
In a series of self-deprecating posts, the YouTuber joked about watching LeBron James strike up a conversation with Kopf while he sat beside her trying to manage his reaction.
“Went courtside and had a crazy reaction on my face… then LeBron James started talking to Corinna for a full minute,” he wrote. “That’s when I’m like, well, I’m leaving. My face is swollen and LeBron James chops it up with Corinna about golf for a minute.”
Deleonardis appeared to be poking fun at himself rather than expressing severe frustration over the interaction.
The online personality also claimed that Austin Reaves, the Lakers shooting guard, had once attempted to pursue Kopf romantically when the two were spending time together.
“Austin Reaves was my favorite player in the NBA,” he wrote. “What does he do? Try to mess with my chick at the time.”
He added, “Athletes and rappers are menaces on society. If you have a girlfriend and she is on social media, you have to compete against athletes and rappers.”
Neither Reaves nor James has publicly addressed Deleonardis’s comments.
Kopf also has history with Bronny James, LeBron’s son and current Lakers guard. Years earlier, the two had a contentious exchange during a Twitch livestream in which Kopf teased Bronny by calling him “LeBron Jr.” and comparing him to his father. The moment ended with Bronny sending her in-game character flying off a cliff in Grand Theft Auto V, which later went viral.
Despite the off-court buzz, the Lakers dominated the court on Tuesday, defeating the Jazz 140–126. Luka Dončić led the team with 37 points, while LeBron made his season debut with 10 points and 12 assists.
