Soulja Boy is seeking court-ordered DNA testing to determine whether he is the father of his ex-partner Jackilyn Martinez’s 3-year-old son, according to newly filed court documents.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the rapper — born DeAndre Way — isn’t confident he is the father of the 3-year-old boy, named KeAndre Cortez Way. In his filing, Soulja Boy checked boxes indicating he would be willing to split the costs of the pregnancy and any legal battle if it turns out he is the dad.
Martinez sued Soulja Boy in late 2025, requesting primary custody of KeAndre and proposing that the entertainer receive visitation rights. In her court papers, Martinez alleged that Soulja Boy only occasionally sent her money after she “begged him to do so.”
She is also seeking child support payments. Martinez included in the filing an email she claims Soulja Boy sent to her legal team, in which he wrote, “Stop emailing me, you dumb bitch. There will be no litigation or settlement idk who the f*** u think u talking to.”
The contentious case remains ongoing in California court. Soulja Boy’s request for DNA testing comes amid a series of high-profile legal challenges for the veteran rapper, including a multimillion-dollar civil judgment earlier this year.
The case has drawn additional public scrutiny due to prior public comments from Blueface, who once suggested he could be the boy’s father — claims that led to Martinez winning a defamation judgment against him worth more than $130,000.
This latest development adds another layer to Soulja Boy’s busy legal docket. Earlier this year, a jury found the rapper liable for $4.25 million in a civil sexual assault case brought by a former housemate.
Paternity tests are a common step in contested support cases, and a judge is expected to rule on the request in the coming weeks. If the results confirm paternity, California guidelines will determine the appropriate level of support based on income, custody time and other factors.
