Seahawks Russell Wilson, Singer Ciara Potential Divorce Rumors

The rumors have begun to stir up that Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and popstar Ciara may be parting ways. This past year, the Seahawks started 5-0, ended the year 12-4 with a first-round exit in the playoffs. Although, their season was underwhelming to add more fuel to the fire, the rumors started to rise about Wilson’s future in Seattle, per NBC sports.

This year, the Seahawks have gotten off to a slow start, 2-3. They are currently in last place in the very talented NFC West division. Through five games, they are a game away in the loss column from matching their amount from the previous year. The team has gotten significantly worse than last season. Their defense is continuing to struggle and the offense is wildly inconsistent. Unless the Seahawks are able to turn this season around, most likely the trade rumors about Wilson will eventually resurface.

    Russell Wilson Continues to Deflect

In an interview with Erin Andrews, which aired before the game Thursday night, Wilson downplayed the storyline that emerged immediately after Wilson was seen looking very sad and disgruntled in a luxury suite at Super Bowl LV.

“I think things get kind of blown out of proportion a little bit, and teams were saying that I requested a trade,” Wilson told Andrews. “So it kinda got a little confused.”

Things began to get confusing when Wilson appeared on Dan Patrick’s show and made his disdain with the Seahawks obvious. His agent later came out and declared that he doesn’t want a trade. However, he’d accept a trade to the Los Vegas Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, New Orlean Saints, or the Chicago Bears. This at the time seemed to be ignorable. As the season remains with only 12 games remaining left in the year and playoffs don’t seem to be a possibility at the moment.

Wilson later came out and explained he will stay with the Seahawks as long as his teammates and everyone in the front office are fully committed to winning. If the Seahawks continue to have an underwhelming season, the rumors resurfacing won’t be too far-fetched.
