Cristiano Ronaldo and his fiancée, Georgina Rodríguez, are making another significant investment move in Saudi Arabia — this time far from the pitch.
The football icon and his fiancée reportedly purchased two luxury villas valued at roughly $4 million each at Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, an ultra-exclusive private island resort located in Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea region. The news was first shared by the popular fan account @TeamCRonaldo on X and later confirmed by Red Sea Global, the developer behind the project, as well as multiple regional outlets.
Images circulating online show Ronaldo and longtime partner Georgina Rodríguez posing casually at the resort’s wooden pavilion, alongside aerial shots of the circular overwater villas surrounded by turquoise lagoons. The post quickly went viral, surpassing four million views and drawing a mix of admiration, envy, and jokes from fans.
Located on Ummahat Island, roughly 16 miles off Saudi Arabia’s west coast, Nujuma is accessible only by boat or seaplane, emphasizing its privacy-first design. The development includes fewer than two dozen private residences alongside luxury resort villas, making it one of the most exclusive Ritz-Carlton Reserve properties in the world.

The villas are inspired by seashells and designed to blend seamlessly into the surrounding environment, offering private pools, direct access to the beach or lagoon, and panoramic views of the coral reefs. The destination is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative and the kingdom’s broader $500 billion tourism push, which aims to attract high-net-worth individuals through luxury, sustainability-focused developments. Red Sea Global states that the project is powered entirely by renewable energy and aims for a net positive environmental impact by 2040.

Ronaldo’s purchase further underscores his deepening ties to Saudi Arabia since joining Al-Nassr in 2023, a move that reshaped both the Saudi Pro League and the global football landscape. The athlete, whose business ventures span fashion, fitness, hospitality, and media, is widely reported to be approaching $1 billion in career earnings and investments.
In addition to his new Red Sea properties, Ronaldo owns homes in Portugal, Spain, Dubai, and Riyadh, reinforcing his long-term presence in the region. While Ronaldo has not commented publicly on the purchase, the investment places him squarely among the high-profile figures Saudi Arabia hopes to attract as it positions the Red Sea as a global luxury destination.
For fans, the takeaway is simple: even off the field, Ronaldo continues to play at the highest level.
