Rihanna adds another award to her ever-growing legacy. The multiple platinum and Grammy-winning singer will be receiving the NAACP’s President’s Award. The award is given to those whose “special achievement and distinguished public service” has been recognized by the NAACP.

“Rihanna has not only enjoyed a groundbreaking career as an artist and musician but has also distinguished herself as a stellar public servant,” said Johnson. He further added. “From her business achievements through Fenty to her tremendous record as an activist and philanthropist, Rihanna epitomizes the type of character, grace, and devotion to justice that we seek to highlight in our President’s Award.”
The iconic singer has switched lanes from being a global pop phenomenon to taking over the world of fashion and beauty. She has used her platforms to promote inclusiveness through her FENTY fashion empire. A global beauty brand that recently helped her become the first woman of color to partner with fashion giant LVMH. Rihanna is also the first woman to start an original brand for the world’s largest luxury group.
