The police force of Philadelphia along with FBI is currently involved in an extremely complicated investigation surrounding a dilapidated twin home on 417 West Chew Avenue in Olney district. The investigation has links between the late Raymond “R.C.” Horsch, a long time pornographer who had been producing violent fetish videos until he passed away in May 2025 at 82 years of age, and his son Eugene Horsch with at least seven missing women.
It began on June 19, 2026. A U.S. Park Service ranger stopped Eugene Horsch, 44, near Independence Mall after hearing a woman in his BMW say something like
“You’re going to hurt me.”
Officers found guns with obliterated serial numbers, drugs, a fake DEA badge, and the woman carrying identification belonging to Blair Tonzelli, reported missing since 2023. That stop led investigators to the Chew Avenue property Eugene owned and once shared with his father.
Inside, authorities recovered more than 600,000 images, 70,000 videos, and thousands of pages of writings over a million digital files in total plus chemicals, a 55-gallon drum connected to water lines, five urns, and notes referencing Ted Bundy. Investigators have identified 58 people in the material so far and reviewed only about 30 percent of it. Deputy Police Commissioner Frank Vanore has said the files show women “posed in different positions within that house,” some appearing unconscious or lifeless.
Police have linked seven women to the property. They believe five appear deceased based largely on digital evidence, while two remain missing. Publicly named individuals include Gabrielle Amarando (missing since 2012), Maribel Fresses (2018), Nicole Fusaro (2018), Amy McHale (R.C. Horsch’s ex-wife, last heard from in 2016 saying she was at the house), and Blair Tonzelli. One video is reported to show apparent strangulation involving R.C. Horsch and a woman identified as Fusaro. No human remains of the missing women have been recovered, and no homicide charges have been filed. R.C. Horsch is deceased. Eugene remains in federal custody solely on firearms and fraudulent-document charges.
It is the biggest mystery till date whether the evidence supports the claim of R.C. Horsch killing these women or not. The families of missing women are eagerly waiting to receive answers from the investigation of the remaining video files. It is yet to be revealed where the missing women are, whether the videos are true crimes or just simulations, etc.
