Oscar Fashion 2023: What to Look Forward to

The Oscars are a night of celebration and, as you’ll see ahead, stars always bring their fashion A-game to the grand finale.

Throughout this awards season, glamour has made a dazzling comeback with an array of sparkle, sequins, and alluring silhouettes. Take cues from the stunning looks of Jessica Chastain, who graced the Critics Choice Awards in a Louis Vuitton dress, Li Jun Li, radiant in a strapless Dolce & Gabbana gown at the Golden Globes, and Emily Blunt, captivating in a form-fitting Oscar de la Renta dress at the SAG Awards.

    Off-White by Virgil Abloh

Off-White, the label founded by designer Virgil Abloh, has been a staple in the fashion world. With his innovative designs and advocacy for uplifting Black creatives, Abloh touched the lives of many.

His death last November left a huge hole in the industry and his work has been instrumental to making street style a global brand. Despite the loss, Abloh’s legacy will live on through his work at Off-White and in the wider world.

He pushed boundaries, and his vision was always groundbreaking. His “Spaceship Earth” collection, which he created before his death, is an example of that.

It was an “imaginary experience” as he wanted it to be, and the collection was full of creativity and innovation. Crafted with longevity in mind, these exquisite pieces are destined to be cherished across generations, serving as enduring sources of inspiration for people all over the globe.

    Jessica Chastain

For the 2023 SAG Awards, Jessica Chastain made a vibrant statement in this Zuhair Murad off-the-shoulder gown. Though it looked a little different on the red carpet, this eye-popping style was originally part of the designer’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection.

With the expert touch of celebrity stylist Elizabeth Stewart, Chastain elevated her hot pink ensemble to new heights by adorning it with opulent Gucci jewelry and accentuating her look with a striking dramatic cat eye.She also wore matching rose-pink lips and rosy cheeks for a coordinating look.

In addition to Chastain, many other celebrities opted for plunging necklines on the Oscars red carpet. From Serena and Venus Williams in Gucci to Niecy Nash in Monsoori, stars embraced the trend to show off their busts on the red carpet.

Chastain’s dazzling dress was definitely her best Oscars look yet. Her choice of color matched her bright hair and makeup perfectly, making her look like a shining star on the night.

    Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston is known for her signature “Rachel” haircut and her ability to wear miniskirts, but she’s also a pro when it comes to fashion. The Friends star always nails the red carpet, whether it’s a simple little black dress or a sexy gown with a ruffled neckline.

Aniston has a knack for pairing her LBD with sexy silhouettes, like this sequined number she wore to the Academy Awards in 2010. The actress’s classic look was complemented by a smooth hairstyle and a clean white manicure.

    Zendaya

It won’t come as a surprise that Zendaya completely nailed it at Louis Vuitton’s Paris Fashion Week show on Monday, March 6. The ‘Euphoria’ actress was a must-see in an animal print blazer and shorts combo. She casually layered it with a black bra, and completed her fierce look with sky-high tiger-striped boots.

The 26-year-old Golden Globe winner looked incredibly confident as she posed alongside Pharrell Williams and other A-listers at the runway show. She showed off her wild side in a pair of leopard print shorts and a tiger-print blazer, which she styled with a black bra.

She also has a strong music career, having released a self-titled album in 2013, and collaborating with Zac Efron in “Rewrite the Stars,” which reached multi-platinum sales certification. She has since branched out into clothing and shoe lines, and launched an app that makes it easier for people of all sizes to shop her line, Daya. She is also a big supporter of inclusive feminism, stating in a recent interview that true feminism includes all women, cis-gendered and trans.
