According to reports, armed individuals disabled her distinctive lilac Tesla Cybertruck by scattering tire spikes in a shopping center parking lot, then forced her into a white sedan while she stood beside the open driver-side door. The incident occurred in the Isla Musala area of the city.
The event was captured on the Cybertruck’s Sentry Mode cameras. The footage, which has circulated widely on social media, shows Molina in a pink one-shoulder top and dark pants as several men approach and take her into the waiting vehicle despite her resistance. No arrests have been announced in connection with the case.
The following day, on January 25, Molina made her first public appearance at a church in El Salado, a rural area outside Culiacán. Visibly emotional, she addressed the congregation through tears, saying in Spanish:
