Old Stream Footage Goes Viral: D4vd Heard Discussing Celeste in Background

Old livestream clips featuring rising singer-songwriter D4vd have resurfaced and gone viral on social media, coinciding with the musician’s ongoing legal battle in the high-profile case surrounding the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

D4vd, born David Anthony Burke and known for the 2022 hit “Romantic Homicide,” was arrested in April 2026 and charged with first-degree murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, and unlawful mutilation of human remains. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and remains in custody without bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 26.

The resurfaced footage, primarily from a January 2024 Twitch stream, shows D4vd and a young woman believed to be Rivas Hernandez appearing together while answering fan questions. In one widely circulated segment, D4vd is heard directing moderators to delete VODs and clips once the stream concludes. Additional clips feature muffled background audio from group conversations, with some online users amplifying the audio and interpreting fragments as references to Rivas Hernandez. Much of the background chatter remains unclear even in enhanced versions.

Prosecutors allege that Burke began a relationship with Rivas Hernandez when she was around 11 years old, that it became sexual when she was 13, and that he killed her at age 14 following an argument at a rental home. Her dismembered and decomposed remains were discovered in September 2025 in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to him. Court filings detail allegations that he used tools, including chain saws ordered online, to dispose of the body.

Additional resurfaced materials circulating online include an unreleased song titled “Celeste” and past social media activity. Prosecutors have also referenced the discovery of child sexual abuse material on devices linked to Burke.

Burke’s legal team has maintained his innocence. “The actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death,” his attorneys stated previously. They plan to contest the charges vigorously at the upcoming preliminary hearing.

The case has drawn intense public attention, with the viral livestream clips fueling online speculation and true-crime discussions. As with all criminal proceedings, Burke is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
