North West has just canceled her maiden headlining tour right before the tour’s scheduled start date, with venues going dark for the tour that never took off. North West is the 13-year-old daughter of celebrity couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West (now Ye) and rapper Molly Santana who have just announced the complete cancellation of their joint 14-show Kimokawaii Tour which was set to kick off on August 5, 2026, at House of Blues in Dallas.
News from Ticket selling platforms like Ticketmaster and AXS came swiftly to label the ongoing tour as canceled. The tour’s website, in the meantime, returned a 404 page not found error. The shows in Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, Phoenix, San Francisco, and LA (tour’s final destination at The Novo) have all been taken off the respective venues’ sites.
North addressed fans directly in an Instagram Story that has since been deleted.
“I was really excited to go on tour with Molly Santana, sadly it isn’t happening anymore, but I have something special for you guys, see you soon.”
Molly Santana posted her own message the same day.
“To all my customers who bought tickets to the tour, I sincerely apologize. I understand that many of you have invested both time and money into planning to be there, and I know that nothing makes people happier than the ability to share more memories with their loved ones. I cannot wait to see you all again soon!. You are all so greatly appreciated and please know that I never take your time or support lightly. I love y’all so much & I promise I will make this one up to you. Black punk otw & be right back.”
No official reason has been given by either artist or their teams. Representatives did not respond to requests for comment from major outlets.
The tour, announced in mid-June and named after the Japanese “gross-cute” aesthetic, was meant to support North’s debut EP N0rth4evr, released in May 2026. It marked her first time headlining after earlier festival sets with Santana at Rolling Loud and a solo appearance at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash. For a young artist stepping out from her famous family into her own music lane, the run carried real weight.
Fans who had already bought tickets or booked travel expressed clear disappointment online, focusing on the short notice and lost plans. Refunds are expected through the original ticket sellers.
Whether North’s promised “something special” turns into new music, a one-off performance, or a rescheduled run, and how quickly Santana follows through on making it up to supporters.
