New Songs Releases For Your Playlist

Though March has just begun there have been so many different releases in the music industry. Check out our list of must haves for your new March playlist

Nicki Minaj  “Red Ruby Da Sleeze”

Nicki Minaj is bringing back her fire single “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” this week, and she’s sending ghostwriters running. The Young Money rapper released the song on Friday (March 3), and just hours after its release, it topped US iTunes.

Red Ruby Da Sleeze is Nicki Minaj’s first stand-alone single since 2022’s Super Freaky Girl. It’s also the rapper’s first single to hit number one on the Hot 100 since “Super Freaky Girl.” The track is a typical Nicki Minaj rap, full of boastful bars. It borrows from Lumidee’s 2003 hip-hop classic “Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh),” and it oozes confidence in its lyrics.

BTS and J-Hope “On The Street”

The North Carolina rapper has a history of name-dropping, covering and reinterpreting his songs — and it’s a trend that BTS and J-Hope have been taking part in from the group’s earliest days. Back in 2013, when they were just a month into their journey, BTS released a lyrical take on J. Cole’s 2013 single “Born Sinner,” which eventually appeared on 2022’s Proof compilation album.

During all of these accomplishments, J-hope has maintained his love for his idol, and it feels like the time is right for him to give him something special. He’s teamed up with Cole to record the track, which is set to be released on March 3.

While it’s not his first time teaming up with his idol, this is an especially special song for j-hope. It’s the final song that he’ll be releasing before he begins his military enlistment, and it serves as a perfect way to end this chapter in his career. Featuring a mesmerizing whistling melody, the track offers a heartfelt look into J-hope’s life and the road that led him to become the star he is today.

    BIA  “SIXTEEN”

Boston-born and Los Angeles-based multiplatinum global artist, entrepreneur, style icon BIA returns with a hard-hitting new single entitled ‘SIXTEEN’ out today via Epic Records. The track is the first offering since her acclaimed 2020 platinum single ‘Whole Lotta Money’ featuring Nicki Minaj.

‘SIXTEEN’ is a feisty and fun song that showcases BIA’s exceptional skill as a rapper. With a catchy beat produced by AzizTheShake and Tim Nihan, the track is an excellent addition to any playlist. The video for BIA’s new single sees her traveling the world and doing pranks for the camera. It’s a pretty impressive effort and features her flexing and dancing as she moves from city to city.

It’s the kind of lyrical banger that you can’t help but sing along to, with BIA spitting some mean 16s in the process. The track is definitely one you should add to your Spotify playlist.

Dreamville’s roster, includes J. Cole, EarthGang, Bas, Lute, Cozz, Omen and more. The 18-track album, which hit the streets on Friday, March 3, features collaborations from all seven artists, including J. Cole’s newest record, “Adonis Interlude (The Montage),” as well as Big Sean’s “Anthem” with EST Gee, Kehlani’s “Better,” and more.
During a five-day rap camp, Dreamville tapped 31 of its artists to come together and collaborate on the project. The result was a soundtrack that not only fits seamlessly within the framework of Creed III, but can also be bumped out on its own.
The Dreamville team, along with Proximity Media and Outlier Society, crafted the official soundtrack for Creed III. Inspired by both the movie itself and the collaboration of various talented artists, the soundtrack seamlessly matches the film’s acclaim and its profound impact on the community and culture.
