NBA is honoring Kobe Bryant by including the legend with the Mamba Forever Edition of NBA 2k21.
NBA 2K fans probably seen this one coming but Ronnie 2k and team made it official when then announced the Mamba Forever Edition. The popular video game series will feature fallen NBA legend on one of the games three covers for next year.

Kobe Bryant was one of the NBA’s most loved superstars, and his death took the world by storm when it happened. The amount of support for Kobe, his daughter Gianna, and the 7 other people was overwhelming.
The NBA itself recognized Kobe by having all the players in the all-star game wear number 24 or 8 to honor the laker legend. Additionally, teams did both 24 second and 8-second violations to start each game immediately after the Calabasas helicopter crash.
NBA 2K is paying tribute to the Black Mamba by making him the Cover Athlete for this years legend edition. Only transcendent players are able to be apart of the legend series of the game. NBA 2K21 will mark the second time Bryant was chosen as the legend edition cover athlete.

Kobe will join Damien Lilliard and Zion Williamson as the athletes to grace the cover of the game this year. The NBA 2K21 Mamba forever edition will mark the third overall time Kobe Bryant was 2k’s cover athlete.
