Met Gala 2021
The Met Gala, the biggest event in fashion, made its come back on September 13. Though larger in the past, this soirée still was filled with memorable moments and lasting impressions. The exhibit theme this year was “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” with many celebs representing different moments, icons, cultures in American fashion history.
Moreover, social media was eager to see what the stars were bringing to the table. While many may have disappointed us, others understood the assignment.

Embodying Lady Liberty, the award-winning poet looked beautiful in a royal blue Vera Wang gown.
The singer looked queenly in a mustard Valentino gown.
The indigenous model paid homage to her roots in gold with chain accents from the Dundas x Revolve American Dream collection.

LIL NAS X
The rapper had three outfit reveals. First, he started with a long embellished cape with intricate gold stitching. Underneath that ensemble, he wore a gold armored suit. Then, his last outfit was a slinky black and bodysuit, which was covered in gold crystals all by Versace.
CHLOE X HALLE BAILEY
The singers both wore Rodarte. Halle opted for a fringed light pink bodysuit, while her sister Chloe wore a thigh-high split white gown with a long train.
The former supermodel glowed in a baroque base layered strapless, corset-like, wide-leg pantsuit by Harris Reed.
Co-chair Naomi Osaka wore a Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton suit inspired by her Haitian and Japanese roots.
Stenberg wore a black and white suit accessorized with a corset and long cape by American classic (Thom Browne) as a tribute to black culture.
The hyphenated mogul broke necks at the Met Gala with her black puffy Balenciaga gown. Matched with a black beanie Bulgari diamonds, the Met Gala Icon made hood chic couture.
