    LISTEN: DIMA KASH-“LOVE/HATE”

Award-winning hip hop artist Dima Kash debuts the lyric video for his song “Love/Hate” on MTV today, Monday, July 30.

The first single from the Russian born American rapper’s forthcoming third album gains a half a dozen college radio station adds and is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, Tidal, SoundCloud and YouTube.

The St. Paul, Minnesota-based artist is looking forward to the feature on the cable channel. “When I found out that my new single ‘Love/Hate’ was going to air on MTV, it was like a dream come true,” Dima says. “I’ve always wanted to be featured on MTV and now that dream has become reality.”

On the chill moody track produced by Andrew Thomas, the artist who has opened for Migos, Post Malone and Future proclaims his commitment to his grind and responds to non believers, rapping, “Heard they hating on me ‘cause I’m living my dream.” While he calls out fake friends and haters, he also humbly admits, “Alls I really want you to do is love me” on the song’s melodic, sung chorus.

“The meaning of the song to me is that in this game all we want is love, and we face so much fakeness and hate from so many people,” Dima says. “Your closest friends could be your biggest haters, but you gotta continue to push and strive for greatness.”

“Love/Hate” is impacting college radio. KCR in San Diego, CA, KQAL in Winona, MN, KPSU in Portland, OR, WLCA in Godfrey, IL, and WCVF in Fredonia, NY recently added the song to rotation. The record enjoys medium airplay at M3 Radio in Brooklyn, NY, WSUW in Whitewater, WI, WDWN in Auburn, NY and light spins at WTBU in Boston, MA, WRRG in River Grove, IL, and WSOE in Elon, NC.

A video for “Love/Hate” is planned for late August.

Minnesota’s Go 95.3, City Pages and Twin Cities Urban Music Awards have also shown Dima love. In 2016, TCUMA named him Minnesota Rap Artist of the Year.

The rapper, songwriter, artist and studio owner who migrated to the United States at an early age released his debut album, Vibe With Me, in 2013, and follow up, Kash Over Everything, in 2015. More than a dozen of his compelling music videos that have addressed inner city struggles (“The Game” feat. Andrew Thomas, “Can’t Breathe”), social injustice (“Open Your Eyes” feat. Monaye Love) and the rap game (“Can’t Slow Down” feat. J. Plaza) have received tens of thousands of YouTube plays. “Can’t Breathe” has generated more than 2.4 million streams on Spotify.

Dima has additionally opened for Wiz Khalifia, T.I., G-Eazy, Paul Wall, Boosie, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, 2 Chainz, Twista, Lil Flip, King Louie, Verse Simmons, Lil Wyte, Kid Ink, T. Mills, Travis Porter, Machine Gun Kelly, Bryson Tiller and Riff Raff.
