Law Roach isn’t here for the AI approximations.
The renowned stylist and longtime collaborator of Zendaya appeared on Good Morning America on Monday (June 29) and was shown the flood of AI-generated images purporting to show the actress’ secret wedding look alongside Tom Holland. His reaction? Pure, unfiltered shade — delivered with a smile.
“That dress was not good enough. Trust me, the dress was better than that,” Roach said, laughing as he clapped back at the viral fakes.
According to transcripts and clips from the segment, hosts presented Roach with several of the widely circulated AI creations while discussing his work and the couple’s low-key nuptials. He first played coy — “Which wedding are you talking about?” — before delivering the memorable diss and confirming the real gown looked nothing like the digital versions.
When asked directly if the actual dress resembled the AI renderings, Roach shook his head: “Absolutely not.”
He went on to tease that Zendaya’s real bridal look is “really beautiful,” while emphasizing the couple’s firm commitment to privacy. “No one gets to see” it fully, he noted, aligning with previous comments that the details would remain under wraps.
Zendaya and Holland quietly tied the knot after years of dating, with Holland confirming the marriage in an Esquire interview earlier this year. The couple’s decision to keep the ceremony completely private — with zero official photos or details released — created the perfect storm for AI-generated content to take over social media in March 2026.
The fake images depicted Zendaya in elegant cream and white gowns, often featuring satin or lace details, veils, and romantic Lake Como, Italy backdrops complete with string lights and sparklers. Holland was shown in tuxedos, sometimes playfully nodding to his Spider-Man roots with a mask. Some versions even inserted celebrity friends into the scenes. Zendaya previously addressed the images on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, calling them “scarily realistic” and noting they had fooled friends and strangers alike.
Roach’s playful yet pointed response quickly went viral, with fans praising the stylist’s signature loyalty and confidence. Many viewed it as a win for human creativity and high-fashion expertise over AI-generated outputs, especially given Roach’s track record of crafting some of Zendaya’s most memorable red-carpet moments.
As of now, the couple continues to keep their wedding details private, leaving the internet — and Roach — to do the talking.
