Kim Kardashian is opening up about a terrifying ordeal in the upcoming The Kardashians season.
In a dramatic trailer for Season 7, released Oct. 1, the reality star, 44, tearfully revealed that she learned someone “extremely close” to her allegedly plotted to have her killed.
“I got a call from investigators. Someone extremely close to me put a hit out on my life,” Kim says in the emotional preview. “Everybody’s kind of on edge. I heard footsteps walking into my room. I am terrified out of my mind. I’m happy it’s over.”
The trailer shows Kim visibly shaken as she steps into a blacked-out vehicle, cries while reading something on her computer, and breaks down as police cars arrive at the family’s home.
The preview hints at the toll the ordeal has taken on the Kardashian-Jenner household. Kendall Jenner admits “everybody’s kind of on edge,” while Kylie Jenner adds, “I heard footsteps walking into my room,” suggesting the family lived under intense fear during the investigation.
Though Kim later appears calmer, saying “I’m happy it’s over,” the person’s identity behind the threat remains undisclosed in the trailer.
This isn’t the first time the SKIMS founder has faced serious threats to her safety. In May 2025, she gave emotional testimony during the Paris robbery trial, recalling the 2016 incident when armed men tied her up and stole millions of dollars’ worth of jewelry, including her $4 million engagement ring from Kanye West.
Kim has also dealt with stalking cases in recent years, including filing restraining orders in 2024 against a man who allegedly located her Malibu mansion and her mother Kris Jenner’s home.
The revelation in the new trailer has sparked speculation about her past relationships, particularly with her ex-husband, Kanye West (now known as Ye). During their divorce in 2022, Ye claimed Kim had accused him of “putting a hit out on her” in a since-deleted Instagram post.
Others online have made more lighthearted guesses, joking about tensions between Kim and her sister Kourtney Kardashian — though those theories remain firmly in fan speculation.
Season 7 of The Kardashians premieres Oct. 23 on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally. In addition to addressing the shocking threat, the new season will also feature Kim’s acting project All’s Fair with Glenn Close and Sarah Paulson, behind-the-scenes moments from her Paris robbery trial testimony, and the family’s emotional farewell to Kris Jenner’s longtime Hidden Hills home.
