Good Morning America host and Everybody’s Got Something author will the knot. On a recent installment of GMA, the anchor made a heartwarming announcement: she and her longtime partner, Amber Laign, are set to tie the knot later this year. She didn’t divulge a specific date but said they’re excited about the prospect of walking down the aisle together.

They first met on a blind date in 2005 and have been together ever since, even through some of life’s toughest challenges. The two are both cancer survivors. Robin beat breast cancer twice, and Amber recently overcame myelodysplastic syndrome.
Robin also talked about her relationship with Laign and their plans to tie the knot on a recent episode of Extras. She got emotional about the upcoming event.
Amber, who is a massage therapist and entrepreneur, co-founded Plant Juice Oils with Marci Freede. Her company creates sustainable, high-quality plant oils, including those infused with CBD. The pair are also animal lovers and have a Tibetan Spaniel Papillion named Lil’ Man Lukas.
Despite their desire to keep the details of their private life out of the spotlight, they do often show up at public events supporting LGBTQ causes. They also celebrate milestones, like their 15-year anniversary, with a special gift for their other half.
While they prefer to stay out of the spotlight, they do take to social media to share updates about their happy life together. In January, Roberts posted a photo of herself and Laign smiling with friends on a boat. While we wait for an official date for the big day, we’ll be watching to see how the engaged couple handles the many responsibilities of marriage and parenthood.
They stood by each other’s side through some of life’s biggest challenges. It’s safe to say that their union will be one of the most beautiful stories we’ll witness this year. Congratulations to the lovely couple!
