Jetsonmade Personally Chose J.Cole
Jetsonmade, best known as DaBaby’s producer, stands as one of the most sought-after producers to date. Both Rihanna and J. Cole wanted to get in the studio with him. Ultimately, Jetsonmade chose his fellow Carolina bredren.
“Man, I was supposed to collaborate with Rihanna, for real,” he said. “I swear, I passed on that opportunity to work with Cole. Big shout out to Rihanna though, I hope we can make it happen. It was more personal, you know? Cole reached out to me directly. I was at his place and thought, forget it, I’m rolling with this guy.”
The South Carolina bred producer has collaborated with a number of big name artists besides Da Baby and J. Cole. These artists include 21 Savage, Roddy Rich, Jack Harlow, Quando Rondo, among other chart topping artists.
Working With Artists
During an interview with The Fader, Jetsonmade opens up about his experience working with different artists.
“I approach every situation with Jetsonmade type beats,” he explained. “I stick to my style because switching it up would drain me mentally. I mean, it would burn out my brain. Of course, I experiment with different styles, but I won’t go for something completely outlandish. I prefer to make standout music with others. I don’t try to follow what’s trendy in any situation. To navigate that, I stick to Jetsonmade type beats. That’s how we roll.”
He went on to say, “I create various types of beats. My success comes from the simplicity of the beat. If you compare ‘Suge’ to ‘Oh My God,’ you’ll notice they have completely different beats and sounds. I simply use whatever sounds good. I incorporate what fits well into the beat. I strive to maintain my unique rhythm.”
Fortunately, Jetsonmade is sure to have more dope beats in his vault, ready for future collaborations.
