Jeremih’s Road to Recovery
Many fans worried about Jeremih and his lasting Covid-19 health complications. He recently spoke with Chance the Rapper to address his recovery, including learning to walk and eat again.
“I had a tube down my throat for about a week and a half. I was really like in a dream, I woke up two times and all I remember seeing is a white light,” said Jeremih on Sway’s Universe per Vibe.
His Memory of His Bout with Covid is Cloudy
The “All the Time” artist also says he had no idea how bad of shape he was in.
“I was really down bad for the last month and a half that I was in there,” he said about his time at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago. “I don’t even remember the day I went in there, that’s how messed up I was.”
Jeremih’s mother was unable to see her son as a result of coronavirus restrictions. Chance the Rapper stepped in and visitation was eventually granted to Jeremih’s mother.
Covid-19’d Toll on Jeremih’s Health
Furthermore, the singer states that he developed multiple inflammatory syndrome, a rare complication of the disease.
“All my organs became inflamed. My heart started beating irregularly, my kidneys went out, my liver started to go bad. Mind you, I didn’t know what was going on at the time. I was out,” he told Chance.
Jeremih’s life was previously hospital free. He said before his ordeal, he had never stayed overnight in a hospital or even had a broken bone.
Fans will have to wait and see what’s in store for Jeremih in the future.
