    Cowboys Jason Witten Ends Retirement to Rejoin Cowboys

    It seems like the Cowboys has a reason to smile for the upcoming season. Jason Witten will looke to return to his glory athlete days.

    One of the Cowboys most popular players, former Cowboys tight end Jason Witten retired in May of 2018. The former player went on to pursue a career in broadcasting, as he joined the Monday Night Football crew.

    Furthermore, after spending all 17 seasons of his career with the Cowboys, Witten decided to hang em up. Now reports this afternoon have been released of his return to the field. According to  Witten will be leaving the Monday Night Football booth to rejoin the team.

    “The fire inside of me to compete and play this game is just burning too strong,” Witten said in a statement. “team has a great group of rising young stars, and I want to help them make a run at a championship. This was completely my decision, and I am very comfortable with it. I’m looking forward to getting back in the dirt.”, said Witten.

    In addition, according to Espn’s Adam Shefter, the athlete is reportedly going to receive a one-year deal. from the Cowboys worth $3.5 million dollars.

    Overall, Witten’s 17 NFL seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. During his tenure the veteran tight end averaged 1,152 recoveries, 12,448 yards, and converted on 68 touchdowns. The veteran will turn 37 years of age on May 6th.
