Jake Paul To Rematch Tyron Woodley Due To Tommy Fury Backing Out

    Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley

Internet sensation Jake Paul is set to rematch former UFC star Tyron Woodley due to the backing out of Tommy Fury. Fury officially backs out of a highly anticipated fight with Paul due to a chest infection and a broken rib.

These two were scheduled to face off on December 18th at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. However, Paul will have a rematch with Woodle, whom he previously defeated by split decision in late August this year.

“I’m devastated to announce that I had to withdraw from my fight against Jake Paul due to a bacterial chest infection and a broken rib,” Fury stated. “My training camp was going incredibly well, and we never anticipated any obstacles for a victory on December 18.

I cannot express how disappointed I am, and I truly hope we can reschedule this fight in the new year. I want this fight to happen more than anything. Unfortunately, I now need to shift my focus to recovery and securing a new date for the fight,” Fury added.
This fight has been brewing for some time now. It’s no secret these two gentlemen don’t get along. The past several months they’ve taken shots at each other’s legacies and families. Many deem some of these shots a bit “below the belt” or unnecessary on each side. However, although both fighters vowed to win, Woodley will step in and take Fury’s place at the 11th hour.
Out of anger, Paul immediately took his thoughts and feelings to his Instagram account and proceeded to belittle Fury.
“It’s official, Tommy Fury is boxing’s biggest coward,” stated Paul.

Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley tension increases

Needless to say, Paul was very frustrated when he found out Fury was not participating any longer. He immediately shaped his anger and disrespect towards Woodley. He understands, he has leverage when it comes to trash-talking because he beat him in an exhibition only a few months before. Paul did not hold back whatsoever on his vlog on Instagram. After he addressed Fury, he immediately shift gears and offered an additional bonus to Woodley if he can knock him out.

“When my team informed me on Friday that Tommy Fumbles was withdrawing, I assured them that I’m willing to face anyone on December 18th. Unlike the Fury’s, Tyron actually has courage and is stepping up, with an additional $500,000 bonus if he manages to knock me out.

“The first time, I showcased my boxing skills against him. This time, I’ll inflict punishment and leave no room for uncertainty,” Paul stated.

Woodley disdain for Paul continues to grow

Woodley also hasn’t been a fan of Paul since he lost the fight. In return, Paul forced him to get an ‘I love Jake Paul’ tattoo on his fingers in order to have a rematch. Woodley accused Paul of ducking the rematch initially when he came to find out that Fury was taken before their rematch.

“Jake Paul is a b***h. He didn’t want to fight, like, ‘You did it too late.’ No, you just didn’t want to fight. They gave you a way out, and you took it and ran. It’s like a little kid in a playground, ‘Na, na, na, na, na,’ when they know they didn’t really win,” said Woodley. “Many viewers believed I won the fight, so I didn’t feel like a loser. This outcome hasn’t altered my potential for success.”However, Paul responds and denies all allegations. He believes the opportunity to fight Fury was more beneficial. Paul claims he and his team simply moved on from the Woodley fight.

“By the time [Woodley] got the tattoo we had already moved on,” Paul told TMZ Sports. “We had already moved on to fighting Tommy Fury and making the negotiations happen. I don’t think people are truly interested in watching Tyron vs Jake Paul again, so he had his opportunity.
