Hamas used a deadly booby trap to kill all the Israeli soldiers in Beit Hanoun. This happened on November 10, 2023. Hamas released a video showing how they tricked the Israeli soldiers into their trap.

Hamas said that Israel admitted losing five soldiers in the incident. A video, supposedly taken by a hidden camera, clearly shows the Israeli soldiers walking into a booby trap near a Hamas tunnel entrance in Beit Hanoun. When the soldiers get near the tunnel, a big explosion happens and throws them into the air.
The video also shows the blast’s aftermath, with smoke and debris filling the scene. Hamas claimed that four soldiers were killed instantly by the explosive blast, while another soldier was killed during a fierce street battle with Hamas fighters, who emerged from the tunnel to confront the Israeli force.
Al-Qassam, the military wing of Hamas, released a video from Gaza. The video shows their resistance against the Israeli occupation. Another footage shows Al-Qassam fighters attacking Israeli soldiers, tanks, and a JCB in the Beit Hanoun neighborhood of the Gaza Strip. They used four anti-personnel and anti-fortification shells for the attack. The video claims that the attack caused significant casualties and damage to the Israeli side.
Hamas made the videos to boost their morale and popularity among the Palestinian people. The people have been suffering from a long blockade and frequent Israeli attacks. Hamas also wants to challenge Israel’s military power and stop them from attacking by showing their weaknesses.
