Horror in Ohio: 3-Year-Old Found Starved, Bug-Bitten & Barely Alive in Filthy Home

In Fairborn, Ohio, a 3-year-old girl was discovered in a terrible condition in her home. She weighed only 16 pounds and was found unresponsive on a dirty mattress. Bugs, filth, and mold were all around her.

The police were alerted to the situation by a concerned neighbor, who noticed a foul smell coming from the house. When the officers arrived, they were horrified by what they saw. The home was infested with cockroaches, flies, and maggots, and the room where the girl was found was covered with urine, feces, and mold. The girl was immediately rushed to the hospital and is slowly recovering.

A 25-year-old mother named Rabyah Nadhirah Muballigh was arrested. She faced charges of assault and child endangerment. Her bond was set at $500,000.

“This is one of the worst cases of child abuse I have ever seen,”

Said Fairborn Police Chief Terry Bennington.

“It’s hard to imagine how anyone could do this to their child. This child was starving to death.”

The child is stable now but still in the hospital. She will stay there for a while.
She is getting medical and psychological care. She will go to foster care after she leaves the hospital.

This case has made many people worried and talking about child abuse and the punishments for it. In 2023, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services received 19,344 reports of child abuse and neglect. Out of these, 1,814 cases were confirmed, leading to 16 deaths.

“It’s heartbreaking to see cases like this, where children are suffering at the hands of their parents,”

said Jennifer Justice, a spokesperson for the Ohio Child Protective Services.

“We urge anyone who suspects child abuse or neglect to call our hotline at 1-800-4-A-CHILD. You could save a life.”

Cases like this underscore the importance of vigilance and community support in protecting vulnerable children. It’s a reminder that we all have a role to play in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our communities.

The 3-year-old girl, whose name has not been released to protect her privacy, is now safe and receiving the care she needs. She has shown signs of improvement and resilience and even smiled and played with toys. She has a long road ahead of her, but with the help of dedicated professionals and compassionate people, she has a chance to heal and thrive.
