Franko Fraize Releases ‘Lights And Colour’ EP

The likely lad and UK favorite, Franko Fraize releases brand new EP, Lights And Colour.  Whilst he’s always had a penchant for experimenting with genres and using his British sound to make his impressive catalogue of music that has seen him perform a BBC Maida Vale session with Huw Stephens, gain support from Mistajam and release records on Hospital Records with Fred V & Grafix, contribute to Loadstars album, tour with Mike Skinner and Rudimental and perform at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Reading & Leeds, The Great Escape, Tramlines and Outlook festival, his latest EP makes for his most exceptional to date.

Proving to be quite the musical enigma, Franko Fraize takes influence from Hip Hop and Indie, which is expressed through his heartfelt and moving rap delivery. Always distinguishable by his archetypically British accent, his voice is undeniably recognizable. His charismatic charm reached into the soul with bold disposition for his latest records as Franko Fraize begins the project with his thought evoking track ‘Side By Side’ ft Alex Jospeh. Connecting listeners through the engaging message of growth, perspective, empathy and understanding, it was the first gem to be released from his EP and was paired with heartwarmingly nostalgic visuals. A one to watch, this track caught the attention of DJ Mistajam who said: “I’ve been keeping my eye on him for a while but this is possibly his best track to date!”.

Moving into the EP, Franko epitomises the importance of enjoying the little moments in life with the gem, ‘Let it Go’, a blissful concoction of dance beats and all round good vibes. The track landed multiple playlist inclusions and it was added to the New Music Friday UK playlist and UK Viral Top 50 on Spotify. Continuing the momentum he dropped the music video for ‘Queen of Hearts’ via Clash Magazine, with the site referring to it as an ‘endearing, loving portrait’ as the track divulged a narrative depicting a woman dealing with issues relating to self-worth, confidence, and matters of the heart.

Penultimate track ‘King’ delves into the realms of Hip Hop. Featuring Reader and Snowy Danger, the hypnotic vocal hooks pair with thought-proving lyricism and really allow his fine-tuned lyrical ability to shine.

Although the final track to release, ‘Stop Me’ is a real strong contender for being the top track on the EP. Pairing up with Alex Jospeh, the track broke straight into Spotify’s ‘Grime Shutdown’ playlist on the EP release day. Bound in energy and no-nonsense determination, the record is an instant mood booster that gives a solid kick up the arse in terms of both sound and lyricism.
Sounding like his most exceptional work to date, Lights And Colour is an EP that should not be overlooked.
