HYPEFRESH: Let’s start by introducing ourselves. You know the basics, like name, age, and where you’re from, as much or little as you’re comfortable sharing.
Just Tyler: My name is Tyler Mitchell. I’m 28 years old and from Jacksonville, Florida. I was born and raised in Duval county.
HYPEFRESH: Can you tell us about your new single, “Good Times”?
Just Tyler: My single “Good Times” is simply about being happy with where I’m at in life right now. We tend to get so caught up in the future and where we want to be that we fail to realize the journey is most important. The lessons we learn, the trials and tribulations that shape us into the person we’re destined to be. I wanted to write a song about realizing that now is the good times and this is a good life.
HYPEFRESH: What do you like most about being a music artist?
Just Tyler: What I enjoy the most about being an artist is that I get to create something that allows people to heal, to relate, to know that their feelings are valid and that we all face these battles. I began making music as therapy for myself with my mental health issues. Still, it became more important that I made music that other people could use to heal and enjoy and vibe to, all while touching sensitive topics most artists don’t tend to speak on.
