Until lately, Bobbi Althoff was probably the most charming podcaster because of her honest comments and relatable topics; she just found herself amid a swirl of rumors surrounding her love life. It is noted that since Star’s highly publicized divorce from husband Cory in the beginning of this year, she has kept things pretty private, but this TikTok video she just posted brought the curiosity of her public back on full throttle, which then had a twist nobody expected, taking her into speculations about one NFL cornerback named Sean Murphy-Bunting.
The video in question, which Althoff had put on both TikTok and Instagram Stories, sent tongues wagging on social media in a very short period. It showed the podcaster in the company of a mystery man, who hugged her before planting a kiss on her. The intimate moment was rather brief but enough to get rampant speculations running regarding her new love interest. Well, fans never disappoint when it comes to connecting the dots. They started making guesses of who he was, though many considered it could be none other than Sean Murphy-Bunting, a prominent player in Arizona Cardinals.
Any dreams of a straightforward confirmation were shattered, though, as Murphy-Bunting took to his Twitter to address the speculation. In no uncertain terms, he shot down the rumors with a firm “That’s not me.” Despite a player’s efficient denial, the rumor mill didn’t quiet. Rather, it only intensified, as other names such as Cedric Ogbuehi, Austin McBroom, Keith Powers, and ToosII were thrown into the conversation. But it wasn’t only Murphy-Bunting who needed to speak to the rumor-mongering-Ogbuehi did, too. The Jets offensive tackle took to social media, joking, “This is not me or Sean lol,” to essentially shut down any romance rumors to Althoff.
Complicating it further is that whole history between Althoff and Murphy-Bunting, and of course, those types of stories fuel speculation. Althoff got into a bit of an incident in Nashville back in July 2024.
After a night out, she seemed in distress, and the Arizona Cardinals player was seen helping her out of the bar. He made sure she got into an SUV safely and returned home without further incident. Althoff later thanked him for his kindness on Instagram, stating that the night was “scary” and credited Murphy-Bunting with “looking out” for her.
A simple gesture now taken with additional layers of meaning is re-entering the narrative of their alleged romance. It is something that fans point to as further evidence there could be more to this relationship than just friendship-despite both parties insisting otherwise. The public fascination with this dynamic only deepens with each new piece of information. With as clear denials as anyone might make from Sean Murphy-Bunting and Cedric Ogubuehi, respectively, the tea has gotten out anyway, abetted partly by Althoff’s social media behavior. Keeping the conversation going without explicitly answering to the dating rumors, the beauty influencer seemed playful in her responses, at best.
One was merely exclamation marks. To the fans, though, that could be confirmation in their minds, even when she was just being a playful girl among friends, or so it looked to everybody watching. The public’s continued interest is further rivaled by the fact that Althoff has been staying relatively mum since her divorce. Though her divorce settlement did entail joint custody of the couple’s two children, Isla and Luca, with ex Cory, it really does seem like the podcaster is taking this next step with a little mystery and great tact. The fans have been left to dissect her every post and interaction since she is ever eager for news about her love life.
