Diddy’s Release Date Reportedly Moved Up 6 Weeks to April 25, 2028

Sean “Diddy” Combs just got a little breathing room in his federal bid.

The latest Bureau of Prisons records show he’s now slated to walk out the gate on April 25, 2028 six weeks earlier than the June 4 date that had been floating around. It’s a small shift, but in a case this messy, people are treating it like a full-blown plot twist.

Back in October 2025 a jury hit him with two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution straight-up Mann Act violations, moving folks across state lines for illegal sex work. He dodged the big ones though: the racketeering conspiracy and the forced sex-trafficking charges all got tossed. Fifty months was the final number.

He’s been at FCI Fort Dix, the low-security spot in New Jersey. At first the math had him out around May 8, 2028 once you factored in time already served since the 2024 arrest and the usual good-behavior credits. Then in November some reports popped up about minor rule breaks unauthorized phone stuff, little slip-ups like that and suddenly the date slid back to June 4. His lawyers called bullshit on the whole thing, saying it was overblown and never officially confirmed anyway.

Now here we are in early March 2026 and the BOP quietly updated the file again: April 25. Word is they recalculated his good-conduct time (you can knock off up to 54 days a year if you stay clean) plus he finished the Residential Drug Abuse Program. That RDAP track gives you extra credit under the First Step Act basically the feds rewarding you for actually trying to get your shit together.

He’s still fighting the conviction tooth and nail on appeal, so nothing’s set in stone. His team’s arguing the whole case should get flipped or at least knocked down to something lighter.

The internet, of course, lost its mind the second accounts like @mymixtapez dropped the news on March 3. That post racked up 15,000 views in no time. Replies were all over the map some folks cracking dark jokes about “victims still waiting,” others pushing back hard, pointing out he was never tied to anything Epstein-level and calling his role “minor” in the grand scheme. Classic Diddy discourse: half the timeline thinks the system’s rigged in his favor, the other half swears fame bought him another loophole.

Look, skepticism makes sense. When it’s a celebrity, every little adjustment gets spun as “pulling strings.” But half the wild theories out there are just rumors piling on rumors. The actual numbers come from public BOP records and straight reporting, not some anonymous “source close to the situation.” That’s the only way to cut through the noise.

His reps haven’t said a word about the new date yet, though they’ve always insisted he’s been “fully engaged” in rehab and personal growth. Meanwhile the civil lawsuits keep stacking up, but the criminal clock is what it is for now.

This isn’t some dramatic rewrite of the whole saga. It’s just federal math doing its thing credits, programs, paperwork. Appeals are still grinding along, so the real final chapter hasn’t been written. We’ll see what happens next.
