D4vd’s Brother Caleb Burke Launches ‘Cara Kova’ Music Career Amid Celeste R. Murder Case

Caleb Burke, the younger brother of embattled rapper-singer D4vd (David Anthony Burke), has officially entered the music industry under the moniker Cara Kova (also styled as Kova), releasing his first singles amid ongoing legal proceedings involving his sibling.

According to streaming platforms and social media activity, Burke debuted the project in late April or early May 2026 with tracks including the romantic ballad “Imaginary Love” and another song featuring explicit sexual and relationship themes. The releases, which carry credits listing Caleb Burke as songwriter, singer, composer and producer, are available on Spotify, Apple Music and other major services. His sound echoes the emotional, lo-fi indie R&B style that helped propel D4vd to prominence.

Burke, approximately 20 years old, has prior experience in music. He previously performed live with D4vd during the 2025 Withered World Tour under the name Cvleb and has been involved in music-related activities alongside his brother in the past.

The timing of the launch comes as D4vd remains in custody at Los Angeles’ Twin Towers Correctional Facility following his arrest on April 16, 2026. The 21-year-old artist, born David Anthony Burke on March 28, 2005, has pleaded not guilty to charges including first-degree murder with special circumstances, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, and unlawful mutilation of human remains in connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

Prosecutors allege Burke had an ongoing sexual relationship with Hernandez and killed her on or around April 23, 2025, after an argument in which she reportedly threatened to expose the relationship. The gruesome details outlined in court filings have drawn widespread media attention. D4vd’s legal team maintains his innocence, and a preliminary hearing has been postponed to late May 2026. He remains held without bail.

Shortly after his brother’s arrest, Caleb Burke posted on Instagram Stories: “All pedophiles and rapists should die. Period.” Family members, including Caleb, had earlier received grand jury subpoenas related to the investigation.

Public reaction to Cara Kova’s debut has been mixed on social media platforms. While some listeners have engaged with the music and noted Burke’s pre-existing involvement in the industry, others have criticized the timing and thematic content of the releases given the serious allegations against his brother. As of early May, the project had quickly amassed around 15,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
