The 2020 presidential elections maybe over but that doesn’t mean we’re out of the woods yet. Americans have yet to decide the fate of the country with the upcoming run-off senate races in full throttle. With Joe Biden already in the presidential office, it seems likely that the Democrats will reclaim the White House once again.
To help push the mark, celebrities are even getting people to vote. Award-winning rapper Common has especially helped Democrats obtain voters for the upcoming Senate runoffs in January 5. This past weekend, the rapper showed love to the Democratic senate candidates during their campaign rally in Garden City.
Common Showers The Democratic Senators With Love
Common has been a major help in the Democratic Party’s plans to take back control of the Presidential Chambers. He’s already appeared at several political events in recent months. This past Saturday Common continued his political agenda by performing at the Democratic rally campaign held in Georgia. The rapper helped represent senator candidates Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock. WSAV reports that the two will face off with Republican candidates David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler in the January 5 runoffs. Luckily, Common was there to show love to the Democrats.
Common Believes In The Democrats
Not only did Common perform at the rally, but he also imparted some inspirational words to Georgia voters. “Georgia, y’all showed up during the presidential election,” Common said during his performance. “It’s time to finish the job, though.”
He even believed that the Democratic senator candidates will help elevate the black community. “Systemic racism is something that we need to acknowledge in this country, to heal this country. And we need leaders that’s going to address it, not push it under the table and act like it doesn’t exist or perpetuate it. So now, we’re here with those leaders,” Common told Georgia voters at Saturday’s campaign rally. Hopefully, the candidates will win the Presidential Chamber and make major improvements to America’s landscape.
