Chief Keef’s Longtime Chef Reveals What It’s Like Cooking for Him Since Age 16

Life for Chief Keef has been nothing but astounding. Having emerged in 2012 with “I Don’t Like,” a single, soon enough, the Chicagoan rap sensation became a force to drive the drill rap revolution. With a meteoric rise, at 16, he signed a lucrative record deal with Interscope Records, sending him to a life of wealth, glory, and an extravagant life.

With success, comes a desire for luxuries, and for most high-profile performers, a private chef is included in that routine. Not only delivering balanced nutrition but midnight studio munchies, a private chef plays a role in keeping an artist healthy and in performance shape. Even Chief Keef himself, it is said, has one in attendance for years, beginning when he was a teenager, but little about him is well-known.

While information regarding Chief Keef’s long-term chef is not abundant, sources confirm that he’s been having a chef cooking for him ever since 2012—the same period when he signed with a major record label. That female chef, rumor has it, has been a constant in his life, taking care of him with proper nutrition between a hectic career and unpredictable schedule.

Throughout his life, Chief Keef surrounded himself with a tight group of loyalists who supported his sound, name, and general well-being. Having a chef at one’s disposal is a move that continues that theme, a sign of a desire for security in an otherwise unpredictable life. That being said, even the artist himself hasn’t publicly revealed the name of the chef, and everyone else can only speculate about his presence in Keef’s life. In one of his videos, Chief Keef showed a chef, ‘The Glo Chef,’ a glimpse into a fairly private facet of his life. As much curiosity as this generated, it did little to confirm whether ‘The Glo Chef’ is an older part of his crew or a new addition. Unlike most high-profile performers, who consistently introduce chefs, Chief Keef has kept most of this aspect of his life under wraps.

This secrecy is not new in a celebrity’s life, in which several offstage personalities have important roles but don’t make it to the limelight. Personal chefs, bodyguards, and managers go uncredited, but one cannot deny their impact in an artist’s life.
