    Charlamagne Tha God has quickly become one of the biggest names in hip-hop radio. He is known for his point of view and provocative celebrity interviews. Recently, he has come to the defense of a news ancho who was fired for quoting Snoop Dogg live on air.

    The phrase, “fo shizzle my nizzle”, has been deemed offensive because it is often used in racial slang and can be considered racially insensitive. But DJ Envy and Charlamagne the god disagreed and said they didn’t think she should be fired for it.

    Longtime news anchor Barbie Bassett hasn’t been seen on the station since March 8. She was removed from the show after she recited the term, which is commonly used as a slang version of the n-word. She was also removed from WLBT’s website, but hasn’t officially been fired.
