HYPEFRESH: Let’s start by introducing ourselves. You know the basics, like your name, age, and where you’re from; you can share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with.
Bobby JaGGerJacK: I’m Bobby Jaggerjack, and I’m from Cleveland, OH. I’m a 31-year-old hip-hop recording artist doing the one thing that gives me purpose. For me, it doesn’t get much simpler than that.
HYPEFRESH: Can you tell us about your new single, “Broke As Fuck”?
Bobby JaGGerJacK: I was inspired to create my single “Broke As Fuck” by J. Cole and a line on his last album. He challenges rappers to shift the focus of their music to talk about their genuine struggles rather than rap about stories and subjects that are either exaggerated or entirely false. Authenticity is necessary, and I can demonstrate that with this release.
HYPEFRESH: What do you like most about being a music artist?
Bobby JaGGerJacK: I’ve always felt comfortable doing something else for a living, and I’ve gone searching! Making music is the only thing that fulfills me in an immeasurable manner. I get a broad platform to speak my truths and express myself artistically, and there’s a cathartic feel to that, which will keep me creating until the day I’m lying in a coffin!
