Blueface has made it clear that he doesn’t want his girlfriend, Angela, at the center of unwanted attention while he serves time in prison.
On August 30, his mother, Karlissa Saffold Harvey, shared an Instagram post showing a private exchange between herself and her son, Jonathan Porter. In it, the rapper asked her to stop posting videos of Angela twerking.
“Don’t be posting my girlfriend twerking mom I love her,” Blueface wrote. “You gone make me look bad for tryna get up on my girl cuz you promoting all dat booty dead homies lol STOP THAT!!”
Karlissa captioned the post: “My bad, we was just having fun yall dam. Who snitching 🤷🏿♀️ we know what haten ssa 304 told too.” She later immediately apologized to Angela, writing: “My bad @atmangela I ain’t mean to get us in trouble 😭.”
In August 2025, Angela officially moved into Blueface’s Los Angeles home, where she now resides with his father. Social media posts showed her posing in the rapper’s studio and even kissing an animated poster of him, signaling her commitment to the relationship.
Karlissa defended the couple against critics who suggested Blueface was attempting to make his ex-girlfriend, Chrisean Rock, jealous.
“I’m so confused at how y’all all so bitter that John [Blueface] has chose to go another route when both his ex have moved on and decided way before he did,” she wrote on Facebook.
Despite public skepticism, Angela has expressed confidence in her bond with Blueface. In a conversation with Karlissa, she pushed back against comparisons to his past relationships with Chrisean Rock and Jaidyn Alexis.
“You can’t put your insecurity on other people. How is he going to do me the same way? I’ve been the one holding him down. I’m the realest one on his team. He ain’t nothing without me on his team,” Angela said.
She also shared a message from Blueface reading, “Welcome home momma I love you,” suggesting that the relationship remains serious despite his incarceration.
Blueface’s plea for discretion on social media comes less than a year after he lost video call privileges in October 2024 for inappropriate behavior during a prison call. A leaked video showed him watching a woman twerk on FaceTime, prompting prison authorities to revoke his video privileges.
At the time, Karlissa confirmed the incident, saying: “He was acting freaky on the FaceTime and lost the FaceTime privileges already.”
Karlissa has remained vocal in defending her son’s choices, insisting that his ex-partners have moved on, making accusations of jealousy-driven behavior misplaced. Meanwhile, Angela has assumed a supportive role within the household, integrating with Blueface’s family during his absence.
Blueface is serving his sentence at North Kern State Prison in California and will be eligible for parole in January 2026.
