R.I.P. Anita Pointer. HypeFresh remembers the mega-talented singer! She sang alongside two to three sisters at times. Ruth is the only surviving member of the sister group as the founding members of the original duo, Bonnie and June, had passed away already.
In a statement released by her family, they expressed their deep sadness over Anita’s loss. However, they find solace in knowing that she is now reunited with her daughter Jada and her sisters June & Bonnie, finding peace. Anita played a vital role in keeping the family close and connected for a long time, and her love will continue to live on in each of them.
The family was always musical. The girls first began singing in the church where their father was a preacher. They grew up in Oakland.
